HI

There are a lot of Videos of what the Scrambler is capable to.

The question ist, what was the biggest Challenge you set to your Scrambler?
Did you allready expirienced the limit?

i`ll make a start:

Went over the Tremola @ St. Gotthard.
Its an old Mountainroad made with cobblestones wich leeds over the alps form north to south.

In the first place, i was a bit sceptical how the scrambler would manage hard cornering on a cobblestone road. But WOW, it did as it should ... only scratched the exhaust .... (as allways). 0:)

After reaching the top, i had to say that was one great challenge going up there. I was exhaustet ... but the little scramy seemd to be looking forward for the next challenge :D

now, how did you challenge your scrambler in the past? let us know ;)

Greetings

Assuming that plans and weather holds, I'll be riding the t.w.a.t. the first weekend of October (had to use periods or it filters out that word). Before moderators step in to edit that sentence, the t.w.a.t. I'm referring to is the Trans-Wisconsin Adventure Trail. It's a 600+ mile dual sport adventure trail that stretches from the Illinois/Wisconsin border to Lake Superior. It's actually more of a route than a trail, in that the guy who planned it out used existing gravel roads, fire roads, 4 wheeler trails, and other off pavement options to traverse the state of Wisconsin. It's only 20% pavement, which is only used to connect dirt surfaces. It's about a 2-3 day ride, and we will be camping along the way (carrying all gear on the bike).

I think they only thing that would cancel the trip is rain. I just don't see 600 miles of mud on a Scrambler as a fun thing.

They say it get's harder when the t.w.a.t. is wet. ;)

I drove mine on my front lawn once. I live in a concrete jungle and have yet to drive the 1-2 hours to find a dirt trail to test it's off-road capabilities, though it's on my list of things to do.

I tried running it in sand dunes up north and discovered that the tires, although they look like knobbies are actually not quite as effective hen in serious grit. Buried it up to its axle and had to heave-ho my way out. Wont be trying that again.

On the other hand, on loose dirt and gravel, you can absolutely act like a hooligan, throwing rocks all over the place, roosting your friends who do not have a Scrambler and generally doing exactly what motorcycles are made to do. Then, hit the blacktop and outdo everyone in the twisties, scraping the pegs like a champ. Yes, all with the same bike. Pretty awesome.
