You're lucky. I wonder if it would make a difference if I took it off. Would it influence the fuel map. I bought my bike in Thailand and I don't know of any emmisions control regulations that would require a carbon cannister. The bike is festooned with Chinese warning and information stickers. Maybe Thailand and China is issued from the same bin and China requires a carbon cannister.

If its the same as the one on the american monsters you can find a big hole and sling it in that. On the monster it pointlessly catches fumes from the breather and overflow system. Far more fumes are unleashed every time you fill up so I'd junk it.
