As most of you have probably realized by now, there is a small storage compartment on the bike underneath the seat (seat needs to be removed to access). It has a black, elastic nylon cover over it with the Scrambler logo.

Wondering if anybody is making use of it, and if so, what kind of stuff you are keeping in it?

Here's what I like to keep in there:

-Washcloth (I wet it before I go for a long ride, use it to remove all the bugs on me, then rinse it out at gas stations or when I stop to eat. In a pinch, it could be used for first aid I guess)
-Retractable Cable lock (so I don't need to worry about taking my helmet and coat with me if I want to walk around)
-Bungee Strap (because you never know when you'll need to strap something to the back seat)
-$20 (for emergencies like if I lose my wallet or if my wife empties our bank account...then at least I can buy a tank of gas)

Curious to hear what you guys & gals use it for.

Right now I just have a little leather 'wallet' I made to hold my insurance and registration as well as my ducati roadside assistance card. That way my sunglasses also fit in there if I need to store them there. And right now, there's a zip lock baggie full of Johnson and Johnson's baby powder I bought before heading home today because I had to do emergency crotch chaffing prevention.

COMING SOON: Some sort of butt cream or powder for emergency crotch pain relief while riding or pre-riding if I'm going more than 50 miles at a time.

ROTFL! I nearly spilt my coffee when I read this update!!!

>:D

FWIW, I keep a small puncture repair kit, a ratcheting screw driver with various bit heads, a Stanley Allen Key tool ( 2 to 10 mm size), a mini adjustable wrench plus some assorted tidbits from the el-cheapo Scrambler toolkit. Also have the bungee cord contraption hooked onto the seat.

Have to add the helmet lock strap and also a small Xena disc brake lock with alarm.

IIRC @alepplew had a very interesting & descriptive underseat section picture posted earlier.

Right now its at Corbin so I emptied it out but on the usual, I keep $10 for gas emergency. Ins. and reg and 2 sets of earplugs for the Termi/ Sounds great once you block out 60% of the db! In the tray I carry freeze out glove liners, a balaclava, optical lens cleaner and a large optical chamois. Tight fit but I will barely have to access it.
And my spare scrambler key! Jus kid, wanted to give you a shock! ;)

WTF! The small compartment in has been occupied by the insurance's GPS!
The tool bag fit tight, no space for anything else. I've hanged documents and warranty book underneath the seat using the elastic band.

LMAO! Silverluxe, you're on a whole new level in my books as of this post. Hillarious. Thanks for the entertainment.

Some great suggestions in here.

Maybe Scottoiler should think of a new delivery system to keep a rider's crotch area powdered. I will leave the marketing copy to your imagination...

>:D

What does the vSystem motorbike chain lube system do?

Increases the life of your motorbike chain & sprockets by up to 7 times
Improves performance
Significantly reduces motorbike chain maintenance
Saves you time, money and hassle

Scottoiler products are the benchmark for motorbike chain lube systems and lubricate your chain while you ride.

When you connect a vSystem motorcycle chain oiler to your bike you have a system that automatically gets to work when you start your engine.

Whilst it is operated by the engine vacuum, the vSystem oiler does not absorb any power or affect the performance of your engine
because it is purely vacuum operated.

HOW THE vSYSTEM MOTORBIKE CHAIN OILER WORKS
It is easily installed and can be fitted to most bikes in an hour or so (2 hours tops!) – check out the bike specific install guides to find out if its suitable for yours and to see how easy it is to fit.
