Full Throttle Boston

Hello-

So digging my new FT and so far akrapovik exhaust, Rexxer Flash, Ohlins spring, Andreani fork kit, mustang seat, bar end mirrors, Tom Roland Tank badge, shift tech tidy tail, heated grips. I have a seat and side covers on order from Mugello and I'm going all black and brown seat eventually. Loving the bike so far. Think I want to change sprocket for taller gearing next and some exhaust wrapping. Anyway like most bikes of every make and model, it's a work in progress. Cheers!

getting acquainted w/ urban enduro and happy w/ discovery


i gave up by bmw f650gs (after logging shy of 60K) for a 2016 urban enduro scrambler this april 2017.
the scrambler has been splendid on twisties and canyons, and surprisingly nimble on (unexpected) rocky+gravelly TECHNICAL!!! switchbacks (during a recent 8-day trip through northern california). the scrambler's air-cool engine is an adjustment from my liquid-cool GS. that said, its lower center of gravity profile and the lower weight (than the GS) was what sold me on the bike even though scrambler's mpg is around 55 and miles per tank maxes out at 180 miles at best...GS was in the 65mpg and 210 miles per tank.
i added a puig screen and bark buster handguards which made riding on freeways more bearable.
i am considering SW-MOTECH foot pegs for instances where i find myself on unpaved/unmaintained terrains and standing position is the optimal option. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello everyone! I think I somehow posted my intro in the wrong place... very “me” of me... anyway, I’m Tami. I used to ride as a teen and my husband and I have recently become Moto-obsessed. It actually started because I didn’t want to pay for parking, so I got a Ruckus... which was fun but quickly became not enough... then I saw a red Icon at a gas station, and it all just kind of coincided with my mid-life crisis, and BAM here I am with my Scrambler (I haven’t named her yet) forcing my husband to let me sing in his punk band, etc.....

I haven't ridden a motorcycle in almost 40 years and decided to get back on one. I used to ride dirt bikes back in the day and had many. I wanted something for the road as well as trails which there are hundreds of miles of logging and woods trails here in northern Maine. What really got my attention was the Desert Sled, so I have a new one in black on order. I really hope this turns out to be a good bike, i really love the look. I'm sure everybody here will be a valuable resource when I have questions and I want to thank you all in advance for answering my newbie questions.

I've been riding since I put an engine on my bicycle when I was 12. Over the years I have managed to keep my garage stocked with bikes and love wrenching on them almost as much as riding. I recently picked up a '15 Srambler UE. What caught my eye was the style, weight, simplicity, and that rumble. Of course not all is perfect; the suspension is abysmal and the seat is the most brutal thing I have ever ridden, but I am preaching to the choir here. I do plan to do something about those shortcomings and hope to chalk up many great rides on it.

I am only beginning to explore this group, and although it seems to have gone quiet in recent years, it is still a tremendous source of information.

Hey all! Located in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Proud owner of a Black 2018 Desert Sled. Just picked it up on Saturday, in fact. I've been bikeless for about 12 years. My last bike was an '03 KLR that I rode for about 3 years. Wasn't sure if I'd end up on 2 wheels again, it was just never able to be a financial priority for me... but I decided to change that when I fell in love with this beauty. Absolutely in love with it so far!
