Hi everyone,

Thought I would join in the fun :)
My name is Lennart, 42 years old and live in the Netherlands.

I have just traded in my Monster M1000 (which I have been riding for the past 12 years) for a Classic Scrambler. Now the wait is on for delivery which should be somewhere in April.

I rode the Srambler last week and even though it does not have the raw power and feeling of the monster, it instantly brought a smile to my face. What a nice bike to ride, relaxed but it will definately go when you twist the throttle.

I ordered the skid plate and am waiting for a high exhaust setup that is street legal in Europe (the available termignoni high set is not :|).

Hope to learn a lot from you all and share my experiences. Ride on!

I liked the low end power. The engine is smooth and I think it is the gearing that makes it fast out of the starting blocks.

As I said I was the first to ride the bike so kept the revs from rising too much. The real power should be at 5000 or up and I hardly touched that range.

It did feel lesss powerful than my M1000 monster but not necessarily less quick. When I rode the bike the streets were wet and I am not a hero riding in the wet, but the Scrambler felt much more stable than my Monster and beause of the more upright position and the wide handlebars I felt very confident. The bike never flinched.

It definately did not have a plasticky feel to it. Throttle response was good, the clutch was much less hard than my Monster. Bit tricky to go into neutral but that might be a matter of tuning or more breaking in of the bike.

It was very enjoyable to ride, hence my subsequent downpayment

I am 1,80 and the fit was quite good. You might have to slide a bit further back on the seat, but classic seat seems to be good for that.
