This one can be a slippery slope. If you are considering an HID conversion kit (ballast, etc), I highly recommend against it. I have tried it in three different bikes in the past and the result is always less than stellar because the stock reflector isn't designed for it. The light looks cool but you end up sacrificing visibility for an arguably nicer looking beam.
Your best bet if you want it to match closer to the colour of the LED Ring is just to get a different colour temperature bulb (one with a little blue in it) to bring the colour closer to pure white and lose some of the yellow tint the stocker has. Your local auto parts store should have a 2-pack for under $50 and you can keep the 2nd bulb as a spare.
Don't let anyone talk you into any fancy PIAA $100 bulbs...they are no better or bighter than lower priced name brands these days (was different story back in the 90's).
