With everybody getting their new bikes this Spring I wondered what people think about holding a Scrambler owners meet over one weekend in the summer?

My thinking would be a central location to make it accessible to as many owners as possible. Starting on maybe a Friday and ending on a Sunday with options for overnights from camping to B and B's to inns to hotels. Possibly a mass rideout on the Saturday, a few beers and something to eat on Saturday night followed by a another rideout on Sunday morning before heading home.

It would give everybody a chance to meet up and to show their bikes off. And I'm completely open to other ideas about what to include. I've organised a few of these over the years, usually in Wales, and they've all been great.

Before I start doing any research it would be good to guage the level of interest so if you think you might be up for meeting up and riding some epic roads register your interest on this thread.

I'll tentatively say yes, although I have a pretty busy summer - so not sure I'd be able to commit to a weekend but if it was near enough would certainly try and at least ride over to meet on one of the days!

Count me in to but also dependent upon location.

Perhaps not a full weekend, but definitely a day. My main criteria would be nice route (potentially with some light offroad if possible).

Great idea! I would be very interested in this. Not only for the nice journey but also to meet my fellow Scramblers However, location is dependent on whether I will be able to make it.

Yeah the way deliveries for the classic etc are rumoured to be going I can rock up with a nice picture of it !

Yep also was told there was a delay on the classic, although nothing officially. any other members know about this. :crying:

They're talking about it on the other Scrambler forum as well Mixup but I don't think it's expected to be too long, one of the guys has been told two weeks, apparently it's down to producing the wheels and they've been caught out by the demand!

Just been told my classic is still expected for March delivery......think my dealer was playing it safe, as I was lead to believe April was possible!

.....as for ride out/meet....as with most, definitely interested, but only a day, not weekend, and depends on location and date...Welsh roads sound good!!....Llannfyllin to Bala to Trawsfynydd is a particularly nice road, do it in the cars for work regularly, but never on two wheels!

I will also say a Yes dependant on when more than where. My other clubs hold weekenders like UKMOC across nationally in May, XT500 hold theirs in May at Hay on Wye in Wales, I'm in IOM in June, On holiday end of August.

Thanks Gerry, Julian checked yesterday and said its still down for March, well Im in Oz nest week so will not see it until mid April anyway. hope I do not get a set of Friday wheels!!!
