A question for the UK guys who have ordered extra parts for their bikes. Do your dealers have part numbers etc as when I phoned my dealer to ask if I could order the full throttle bars the parts guy stated that they haven't released them yet? Is this true or am I getting a truely awful all round experience from my dealer (my dealer is unable to find out when my bike will be arriving at all)

Cheers

Brilliant! My dealer appears to be light years behind the rest of the UK. I haven't bought a used bike in northern Ireland since 2002 because the price and service provided is terrible compared to the mainland yet I've made the mistake of thinking a new bike purchase should be standard across the board. Clearly I was wrong!

Thanks guys, I may have to do it the hard way and ferry it across.

I know it's a pain in the arse and you shouldn't need to but couldn't you order from a mainland dealer and get them to ship whatever you want to your dealer for fitting?

Yeah I'm going to ring the dealership in Sheffield tomorrow as they seem pretty switched on and see what they can do. I just don't expect to have to pay for shipping for a service my dealership should be providing! I feel like a buzz kill on the forum but its just frustrating to read about great services people are receiving and I'm having a nightmare!!

Blimey thats a poor discount and also am surprised whatever you buy does not have free fitting. However maybe you got a very good part ex deal that helps even that out or reduced 600mile service cost? The bikes are selling themselves so maybe many dealers dont feel the need for a incentives
