Troy Bayliss We Welcome You to the Land of Joy

Its no secret that Troy Bayliss will be riding all 5 of the AMA Flat track Mile races this year for Lloyd Brothers Racing, a true gem in the AMA paddock.

Granted TB21's Scrambler isn't quite the same as Tom, Dick or Harry's Red Icon, its got an 1100cc air head Twin from a Multi in lieu of our 803cc from the Monster to go with its custom chassis and 19" flat track hoops, but who's to dispute the marketing mileage of the Scrambler plate?

Its in the spirit of marketing then that Ducati North America is using Bayliss' mile runs as a promotional platform for the Yellow Icon (although you'd think the FT would of gotten the go ahead considering Ducati themselves have said its flat track inspired, but I digress)

If you're interested in watching Bayliss and his Scrambler, fanschoice.tv will be broadcasting all the events free of charge. The first one goes May 24th. Facebook is also an excellent way to stay in the loop as both Bayliss and Lloyd Brothers are active on the main vain.

Some people are being a bit harsh on Troy saying he's going to hurt people, and what right does he have to be there. One guy was even like you don't se flat trackers going to try and race GP bikes... you know what though I think theres a reason the best guys on dirt leave for the road...
I got a buddy at the Mile working the pit gates. He met Troy and said he was a super cool guy.
HELP!!! OK, so I'm trying to get fanchoice.tv to work and all my devices say video or mime not supported! What gives! I have another obligation to atend at the same time as the race and figured I could watch on my stupid smart phone BUT?????????????????? Anyone have any helpful information/solutions/downloads? The website offers no help at all. TIA.
it's working fine for me - Safari/OSX

Try updating your Adobe flash player and see if it works. I'm on version 17.0.0.188
Used Chrome and all works as it should!

All things considered TB looked alright out there. Some of the guys are saying to watch out for him once they come back to Springfield in Semptember and TB has a few more events under his belt...

Former World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss made his highly-anticipated AMA Pro Grand National debut at Springfield, and even though he didn’t make the Main. Bayliss looked strong with each lap in qualifying and the preliminary races. He finished 12th in his Semi, just edging out fellow road racer Danny Eslick.
“To expect to come out and kick these guys’ asses was totally unrealistic,” Bayliss admitted. “At first I definitely felt out of my element, but I got a lot more comfortable as the day went on and I’ll take this experience with me next week to Sacramento and try to build on what I learned.”
I hear he hit the fence and broke his leg at Sacramento last night. Anyone know?

yea man Troy Bayliss Breaks Leg at Sacramento Mile

ayliss broke his leg while competing in the evening’s semi-final race, and according to the Australian, his foot was pointing the other way after it had been ensnarled with the track air fence. He will fly back to Australia for an operation to correct the injury, though it’s not clear when he will return to flat track racing.
unfortunately this is what some of the other guys were worried about. Not that Troy doesn't know how to ride a bike, but hes never ridden like this in THIS kind of quality field... Speedy recovery TB!!
I don't get it, do flat track racers have metal on the bottom of their shoe or what? do they just do ovals or circles? never seen it before...

I know right! For an ever better time check out SuperMoto races ;)
