The tires say 42psi and the manual says 42psi front and rear for two riders and 36psi for a single rider. Anyone else running their tires at 36psi or should we ignore he manual and follow the pressure on the tires.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I checked my tire pressure for the first time last week, and I noticed this discrepancy as well. My tires were inflated to ~36, which is what the sticker on the bike recommends. Therefore, I left as is. I would like some clarification on this as well.

The manual actually says 36 front no matter what, and 36 rear for 1 rider and 42 for more than that (full load or 2 riders). I'm running 36 f/r.

jmgobonds, i think the 42 on the sides of the tire is MAX. pressure.

go with 36/36 for regular street riding. i'm sure lower (like 32/32) psi will be better for extended off-road excursions. also, if you feel the need to scrape knees at a nice, safe sweepers, go to 30-34 psi... :)
