My friend has gone down twice on his Triumph wearing a Roland Sands coat and it hasn't eaten through the leather yet. You can see on his shoulders where he slid, and the pattern of the armor though.

It's nice to see people actually care about gear though. Everything I have has decent armor in it now. I just started wearing a real helmet this season and it's funny how my former helmets feel dangerous now. You never know what you were missing out on until you get the good stuff. The problem is that it costs a lot of money. This is also the first year I've been wearing kevlar and armored pants. Again, it makes it feel weird to ride to work in my dress pants.
