I was wondering if the is a 2 piece bit that you can seperate, taking away the plate holder and keeping the mudguard. Anyone know?

I would reckon so looking at it. You may have to plug a few holes with rubber bungs though.

Yup, that's something that would bother me when looking at my bike when parked, plus with already knowing it's like that
