Happy to say I'm the proud owner of a Yellow Icon as of Saturday. Although the wait looked like it was going to be much longer, the great people at DucPond motorsports (namely owner Donnie Unger and sales manager Pete Moravec) were able to make it happen much quicker. They had a Yellow Icon there as a demo bike that I went to look at in April and after checking it out I put my deposit down on one. So after calling Pete at the beginning of June and asking if he had any updates on a time frame and he told me that it was looking like late July or August he could tell that I was bummed. He proceeded to tell me that he had a red one available and I could come pick it up anytime. I asked him to give me a couple days to think about it and I would get back to him. Then the following day he called and said "hey Cris, why don't we take the tank and fenders off the yellow demo and swap them with the red one", which were still in perfect condition. I told him that was a great idea and the following Saturday I was picking up my new Scrambler. So long story short, even though they are a 2 hour drive from my house, seeing the extent to which they are willing to go to satisfy their customers, they will be getting my business for years to come.
