I need to remove the fuel tank so that I can upgrade the air filter to compliment the termi exhaust. Has anyone removed their tank? If so, can you give me the benefit of your experience? I've removed the fixing bolts and wiggled the tank out of the rubbers at the front, but I can see pipes etc, and don't want to rush blindly in. Any help would be much appreciated.

I know this is old but you absolutely do not need to remove the gas tank to replace the air filter. Here is the youtube video that shows you how.
