I was just looking at some pictures of the FT on Facebook. The attachment system on the tank looks a bit different to me. I may be wrong, but I think that those two bits at the top and bottom of the area covered by the panel are new ...

Yes it's only 1 screw
I have taken mines to paint... removing the logos was the hard part.

Just out of curiosity, did yours have those extra two "pressure bolts" fitted? Pictures I've seen of Icons waiting to be shipped appear to have those holes on the tank, but nothing in them.

Christovao, I assume the logo was held on with adhesive, is that correct ? Did you heat it to remove it ?

Also, is there anything on the tank panel to help putting on a new logo and having it in the correct position or do you have to guess where it goes ?

This is the Full Throttle version. It has a decal on the tank cover, not an embleme. Maybe it's a 2 way possobility of attaching it. One with a bolt underneath the embleme ( on the icon, classic and urban) and one with a click system (on the FT)..

Painted in Black

The logos where removed using a steel wire to cut the adhesive ribbon .. But a nylon or fishing wire would be better not scratching.
Cristovao - do you have pictures of your painted panels?? Also, were you able to reattach the logo, and if so what sort of adhesive did you use?
I'm thinking of vinyl wrapping my panels when I get my red icon.
