Looking at the three different tail sections, i wonder how easy or hard it would be to swap them out?

I like the urban enduro, but I like the minimalism of the full throttle's tail. On the full throttle, the tail basically ends at the end of the seat, with the turn signals held on by a couple of little arms. The Icon/Urban Enduro tail is like a tiny little fender.

Has anybody looked under there? Would these basically be bolt-on/off pieces?

Can't answer definitively, but given modern techniques it seems likely to me that all four versions have a common base with the variances simple add on's through the production line..I'd think that swopping parts between models will be straight forward, but I expect those parts from Ducati will be very expensive - it'll be interesting to see if the aftermarket develops or if the existing four versions provide owners with sufficient variety to satisfy the urge to be 'different'..

Part of the point of the Scrambler and having the four different versions is to encourage people to customize, so I would guess that it isn't difficult to mix and match parts from different models.

pacman from what I understand yes the tail sections will be swappable, Ducati has a picture up, and it might even be on our site, of a red icon with a Full Throttle tail section...

I need this rear part of the FT for my Icon.
Is it possible to buy it in future.... maybe aftermarket stuff?

I think it means Ducati has published a picture and somebody may have uploaded that picture to the forum website.


As other people have said, in this thread, the Scrambler is built to encourage mixing up the 4 models so Yes, you should be able to buy a FT back end and fit it to your Icon.


The best way to be sure would be to check with your dealer!

I ordered this part from FT for my Icon. The rear Fender can be detached easily, also the "inner" part (black Fender under the yellow outer Fender) can be removed easily.
In the rear end of the Frame under the seat are 2 holes to fix the small plastic part from the FT which will hold the indicators.
Unfortunately this stupid plastic part isn't available yet, so order is open since 4 weeks but Ducati isn't able to deliver.
In the same time I will fix some Kellermann LED indicators. Also I think to replace the (not existing) Plastik part from FT by a nice Aluminium part, milled especially for me. But as I don't have the sample (the plastic from FT), I don't have the right dimensions as I suppose that the distances and exact positions of the indicators might be important for legal reasons.
Shame on Ducati, Advertising Accessoires which are not available...
