Has anyone got the sump guard from ducati, or similar product from 3rd party? If so, could you upload a photo, as I can't get a clear understanding of what it covers/protects.

I would be very sceptical about how much use it is other then looks , it is attached to the engine , usually sump guards etc are frame mounted to protect the lower engine casing

only frames surrounding the engine can fit sump guards on them, some bikes as ktm adv or bmw gs, fit it on engine. of course you cannot hit on rocks, but it usually save engine bottom and oil filter from stones flying from front wheels

I have one of these on my Hypermotard SP and have done thousands of km on gravel and rocky roads with no problem. The belly pan is quite thick and very strong and has taken a few very big hits on some of my adventure rides here in New Zealand:
