Hi
My Scrambler Full Throttle has now 900km on it.
From 500km until now it is stuttering when i will accelerate
Sometimes it will almost stall
Its like to have water in the carburator in old bikes
Any comments?
Thanks in advance

Does that happen at all RPM or just lower down in the rev range? At certain temps, this motor can sometimes be a little rough under 3k rpm.

Any lights on your dash lighting up to show errors? If an O2 sensor was malfunctioning, it could cause this type of issue but would throw a CEL (check engine light)

Are you using high quality, premium fuel? Bad gas can cause that condition, especially if water has gotten into it/the tank.

Good news is your bike is new so I'd take it straight back to the dealer to have him diagnose ASAP.

Good luck.

They changed different parts from another Scrambler with no results

hmm, it is a worrying sign. Scrambler might be new, but the engine and other components are standard Ducati and I'm sure they would have used existing diagnostic tools. Wonder why it took so look to identify and fix the issue?

The throttlebodyes ar new dessigned for the Scrambler, they use only one for two cylinder instead of one for each in the Monster. Maybee thats the case.
Nevermind, i have other toys

Throttle body sensor

Update
It was the Throttle Body Sensor
They changed it and now it's super!
Better than new
Thanks a lot for sharing! It´s important to collect symptoms and fixes for a diagnose. I guess this thing could also be the culprit for some riders reporting excessive consumption and some others reporting stalls when decelerating.

That sensor is the heart and centerpiece and most vulnerable point of mixture control and it is more likely to break than the ECU since it is a mechanical part with a moving membrane.
I would book it under children´s diseases.

Guess they are having trouble receiving spare parts, factory is probably busy delivering entire bikes ...

Had another random stall today, and as I've always said it has some minor stutter like feeling when running at same speed and under 40 mph.. So maybe I should throw the dealer an email to check.

Keep us posted mitra. I have also noticed a bit of a regular stutter still up to about 3500+ rpm and up to 50kph or so. It's not so noticeable when accelerating, but is when you throttle back to constant speed behind traffic or local limit. It seems happier at 70/80kph. I'm waiting to see how it goes as it wears in a bit. Also whether it's temperature related - it seemed worse when I took it out at night.

What ECU map do you have? I have the low termi and I believe the corresponding map.

I have standard ecu (standard exhaust)... It has got better since I originally got the bike, but is still there.

it would be interesting if ducati has made it like this on purpose, or it's just a child issue or issue with certain part.

If someone has a 796 could you comment how it feels at contant speeds below 40-45mph.. does it fele stuttery, bit jerky?

@Augusta, do you know if they replaced the throttle position sensor or if they simply re-adapted it with their software to zero it out?

My bike feels 'jerky' from 0-40mph when you're stuck in traffic trying to maintain speed, but it also feels like it was just designed that way.

The jerkiness is a problem with the fuel injection and according to Motorcycle USA, they are working on an updated map that hopefully will fix this. The Yamaha MT-09 had a similar issue that was eventually fixed with an updated map.

Easiest way to test is to drive a constant 30 km/h and you'll notice the forward rocking motion.

I hope Ducati will release the new FI map soon as it's kinda annoying. Once they do, you just need to hop to your dealer and get the ECU updated.
