While I'm certain the Ducati list prices is shocking, there are going to be so many of these take-offs available, they won't be hard to come by.

I think I've heard of some of these going for around $100 US, but this poor guy has a rude awakening with his minimum $500 bid/$650 Buy It Now.

Depends. Sometimes on an insurance claim a shop will snag it to do a repair and collect full price from the insurance company. And/or just use it because the person doesn't want to wait for a new one to ship from an imaginary inventory that doesn't exist.
