Got my new Scrambler Urban Enduro, a beautiful sunny day in Norway and a pleasant 90km ride home in front of me.
35km of bliss and the oil light comes on, pulling over :( and got on the phone to Ducati recovery, friendly service.
90 mins later, they friendly man in the truck turns up to return the bike to the shop.
The next morning I make the trip to the bike shop to see what happening, the mechanic has an oil pressure gauge on the bike showing 0.02Bar - ****, was hoping it was a lose connection, but just as well I stopped straight away.

So, now just waiting for Ducati to decide if it's a parts swap or engine swap.... missing the summer weather here in Norway.
In summary, brief but relaxingly fun - just as it should be (apart from the brief bit)

Is there an elegant way to utilize the oil pressure port just forward of the clutch arm on the right engine case? On our bikes it's just plugged with a bolt.

I've seen a lot of ugly ways, but does anyone make a smaller sender and a nice looking electrical (or mechanical with no sender) gauge to mount remotely?

It'd be cool to mount that somewhere remotely that you didn't need a constant visual mostly for oil changes and quick reference. Then using some small braided oil line it could pretty much not affect the look of the bike negatively.

I know that problem. I've had the same problem, but I've broken my engine 5 km from the dealer. He said there has been a stock of defective oil pumps.

I think that the low oil pressure should be alarmed in a more visible way, like flashing leds around the instrument. On the Multistrada, when traction control operates everything flashes on display, that's something visible.

Yes they had a faulty batch of oil pumps, I go the engine replaced and all is going along well at the moment.
The dealer has been brilliant :) just hope Ducati compensates them fully for all the extra work.

Well I'm on my 3rd week of waiting for a Fuel Pump ...

I guess Portuguese Market is not important for Ducati ...

NOOOOOOOO...

Rolled off the lot with a brand new 2015 Ducati Scrambler Urban Enduro this afternoon...made it 38-39 miles from the dealer when the oil pressure light came on, the engine died, and I coasted to the side of the road.

Oil level is fine...no other light except oil pressure (red oil light)...engine won't start.

Two hours later, I'm stuck in the pouring down rain in the middle of a National Forest, 125 miles from home, with a busted bike and the Roadside Assistance people can't find me a tow...

Not really the entry to Ducati riding I was so excited for. #bummin
