So i have yet to receive my scrambler and had a question. Can you change the speedo reading from KPH to MPH? Long story made short but basically i live in the US due to work but im moving back to Mexico by the end of the year. Im buying my bike in Mexico so i asume it will be in KM'S and riding it up and using it here for the rest of the year before i move back so it would be awesome to change to MPH while i use her in the states. Thanks in advance.

As others have noted yes, and you might want to look at the owners manual early on or you might end up like me.

So I take my scrambler out for a ride last Thursday and while I'm riding I notice there is what looks like a high beam indicator glowing on the instrument cluster. I've never seen that before so I pull over and start fiddling with the switches trying to figure out which one controls the high beam. I finally get the indicator light off and continue on my way.

The next morning I take my bike to the dealer and have the termi installed. They finish, I pay and head on out. After about ten miles I notice the instrument cluster (or whatever its proper name is) is now showing my speed in kph. I also notice that my odometer has gained about 50 miles. What the **** did they do to my bike at the dealer?

They didn't do anything, I apparently entered the menu and switched to kph when I messed with the switches the day before. And the odometer had switched to kilometers as well which made me think it had gained miles. So lesson learned: read the **** owners manual before pushing buttons willy-nilly.

I wonder if the dealer disconnected the battery when they were fitting the Termi? On other models, including my MTS1200, the speedo defaults to km if the battery is disconnected.

Hmmm, maybe it wasn't me after all. I did take the bike back to the dealer and they had no explanation for it. The mechanic did reset it for me though.

There are 3 things in my life that have have made me very anxious and exited.

1-Finding out last November that i will be becoming a Dad
2-The move to Merida
3-Ducati Scrambler wait is killing me

I also love Yucatan, the place is full of culture, history, and culinary porn. Check out my intro thread for some pictures i posted from Merida. I do warn that looking at them will make you hungry for food and beach time. :D

I took the battery out of mine for several days and it didn't change to Km, although I did change it once while playing with the settings, it was a pain to change it back to MPH.
