Really good review for those that haven't read it. MCN pitched the Scrambler against the 883 Harley and a Bonneville, all as entry level bikes. I can't post the article but I'll quote the first few lines of he MCN verdict.

'The Scrambler has the most power, is the quickest, lightest, easiest to ride and has the best handling. It has lovely attention to detail, is cool and it says Ducati on the side. Only the dull exhaust note lets it down'.

The Harley was out of the running pretty much immediately if for nothing else the fact that it weights 65 kilos more than the Duc, that's 10.5 stone or a passenger! The Harley also lost points for being uncomfortable and gutless.

The Trumpet ran the Duc a little closer, not really surprising it being a British bike in a British paper, but is a whopping 40 kilos heavier with less bhp. Suspension was also a bit bouncier than the Duc.

So the one thing that I was a little concerned about, the suspension, it seems is more than capable unless you're really on it, and for me, the Scrambler isn't that sort of bike.

The review was done by Adam Child, MCN Senior tester, who's highly respected so it all appears to be good news.
