I am talking with a friend that works at one of the Motocross Decal companies about making decals that would cover the side panel with whatever design we want, like they make for number plates on Motocross bikes.

My question is; Does anyone have a .psd or aotocad file for the side panels that can be used to mock up/design the decals? I can probably make something that will work, but if it already exists, it will be that much easier.

I was searching for the same as you, if you find it, or make such file, please, can you share it?

In theory we could take a photo of the bike next to a ruler and get the outline of the side panel set up in photoshop. Then someone who knows how to use Illustrator can run wild with vector graphics.

I only know how to take photos and resize things in PS because I'm a self-taught moron.

I tried that with photoshop but could not get it right. It is hard, by myself, to get the square straight and level in a photo while the panels are on the bike. Also do not have a rear wheel stand so the bike was at an angle. If you have side panels on a work bench, it would probably work pretty easy.

No, they are pretty slammed right now with it being prime motocross season and all.

I just had to do something and this happened:

The planning:

the final result:

The design was my doing and the work (printing and collage) was made by a company well known by the good work made.

So, it looks like you printed bigger than needed and cut to fit? What material did you use?

My guy said after looking at it, while they can do it, there is not enough money in it because of the number of potential customers is too low.
