Just looking at a review that Derek put up today.

Ducati Scrambler 2015 review

In it, Visordown and Ducati state the following, (well visordown claim ducati state the following)

I don't think people will buy this bike for long rides, though. I think, and Ducati says, that it's for short journeys, from home to work. I'd add that it's for the fashion conscious who want to look cool on their way to work, not least in London, where it will be adept at traffic-weaving with its wide bars and generously proportioned mirrors.

What is a short ride 20min or 2hrs, are they saying (which i have not seen any where else yet) that the scrambler is not suitable for all day riding?

I for one plan to use it for short journeys and all day riding, Just hop on the bike and RIDE.

Speaking personally, I want a simple easy to ride bike that is fun, particularly for the short, nip across town sort of rides. I'm lucky having other bikes too, but I plan on my Classic being at the front of the garage for easy (and frequent) access..

As for longer rides, it'll be the wind blast that is the limiting factor, with thiose big wide bars - it'll be interesting to see if a (possibly clear) bikini type headlight fairing could make a worthwhile difference although I'd not want to compromise looks for course!..
