So I just ordered this tonight, I thought it fit the bill on the old school vs. new school vibe that the full throttle puts off. For some reason the matte green was $100 dollars cheaper then the matte black so as soon as I get it I will repaint it ...maybe even incorporating a bit of yellow to match the FT.

Any advice on a good Bluetooth set? Shark makes a BT set up called the Sharktooth that fits inside the helmet but I'm not sure on the price yet and the ability to communicate bike to bike.

I have a Sena SMH10R and it is very good, with the one exception. The music is a bit tinny, but this may be by design. I say that because when at speed, with lots of wind, it sounds better than it does when stopped and quiet. I use it in a Shoei RF1200. Also, since this is a generic BT, it does not fit perfectly in any helmet. I like it, and would buy it again, short of a custom fit unit.

Now, I also have a Shark Raw, and If I get another BT for it, I will get the Shark Tooth set up. I like when things fit perfectly.

I like it a lot. A little loud, but it is an open face so that is to be expected. It is comfortable and easy to get on and off. The styling is awesome, I always get second looks when wearing it.

I pulled into a gas station wearing it one day, hopped off my bike and a little girl standing with her dad looked up at me and slowly moved behind her dad peeking around his legs like I was a monster. Her dad laughed.

The shark raw is considered open face for crash safety reasons. The full face masked look has no real crash protection value. But it looks awesome none the less. Too bad the nearest dealer to me is an airplane trip away (none in the Philippines!) and ordering online anything over $40 USD is a nightmare here.

From the reviews I saw the lower face portion like xtyling said has no real crash protection..I really would rather just not crash.
the company that I bought from online was selling the matte for $199 as a close out sale and ran out, so I had to get the matte black for a bit more. I guess it will be easier to paint and match the bike more.

Well I just got the helmet in! As I expected it looks badass, it was a bit troublesome to attach the face shield to the googles but after about 10 minutes of fiddling I got her together. Pictures and an actual review to come!

Review time: So as you know I got the helmet in today, and finally left work around 11 and rode for 30 minutes home trying out different areas of lighting. The first thing I noticed is how comfortable my head was with this helmet, I usually feel pretty awkward in my other full face helmets so I was happily suprised by the fit. I found it a bit difficult to see tonight with these goggles just because they are slightly tinted which I figured would be the case, but I am sure that they will do just fine in normal lighting conditions. My fov was alright, I had to turn my head quite a bit to see behind me due to the goggles/glasses combination. Lastly the wind noise was not as bad as I expected, I was expecting alot louder noise due to the goggles but to my suprise the noise was minimum. Overall I am pretty excited about this helmet, and would highly recommend it! I am planning on custom painting the helmet to match the bike (see previous post) and putting a Bluetooth set on this helmet for bike to bike communications in the future. I have tried out the uclear hbc 100 and really enjoyed the sound and mic quality in that system.if you have any suggestions or questions ask away!

My laptop is dead so I will post some pictures tomorrow!

8.5/10 - I think the helmet looks great and feels get but I feel that there is room for improvement!
