There is a way for you to reset your service light as well as scan DTC (error codes) although it is apt only for the technically inclined.
First you need two cables:
ZOOBEK PC2 COMPACT - ELM327 - Fault Code and Data Reader [LEZBPC2] - £19.19 : Lonelec, Fault Code Readers & ECU Diagnostic Equipment
Ducati 4 Pin Multistrada CAN Diagnostic Connector Adaptor (DDA) [LEDUCC16ADAP] - £14.99 : Lonelec, Fault Code Readers & ECU Diagnostic Equipment
You will need to find JP's Diag software called M3C8 which you can download here:
Download page
Install the cable drivers in your Windows PC according to instructions received from Lonelec.
Once ready, connect cable with adapter to your bikes diagnostic port located under the seat just behind the battery.
Connect the cable to your PC and run M3C8. It should identify the ECU.

Press the Copy button and it will take you to JP's website where you can register your ECU for free and receive a license.
Once you get the license, the fun part of cracking the Seed/Key combination for your particular ECU will start. This process can take up to 7 days so you will need a battery charger and to disable all electrical equipment. To do this, remove all fuses except 1 and 4 from fuse box located under the seat, just in front of the ABS control (the owners manual shows the fuse diagram around page 179.
Connect your battery charger, open the switch and run the M3C8 Seed scanner. The program will begin scanning Seed/Key combination and when found will let you know.
Once found, you can use DTC:

And do service reset:

Hope this helps.
Please let JP know your Seed/Key so he can try and find algorithm. Hope this helps.

I thought @Impulsive_Duc said that the software still wouldn't work for the Scrambler yet. Did something change recently? And if it does work to reset the service lamp, if you have the seed/key combo can you also upload and download fuel maps?

Rexxer seems to be offering Scrambler-ready solutions to remap.

No, nothing has changed, software always has been able to communicate with the Siemens/Cont ECU. Everything else seems to be a bit of FUD (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fear,_uncertainty_and_doubt) ;)
In theory with the Seed/key combo you could download and upload fuel maps, but for that you would need a Writer program. JP has a paid version for other Ducati's. He hasn't written it for the M3C. When asked if he could write it, he said he could next winter. Maybe if he finds there is a greater interest, he might hurry up a bit. Worth dropping him a few lines.

@silverluxe @Quack The ECU hardware is the same but they changed the internal software significantly. I'm looking at it right now. :|

If you attempt the service reset you will still have a warning present on your dash and "SERVICE" will still scroll every time your key on the bike. If you manged to remove that warning I will be severely impressed. I proved this on a friend's bike using a similar tool @ 600 mile service. Not even an independent shop with a Texa could get rid of it.

Currently only a dealer can turn off the SECOND warning. That's what I am working on right now. And yes, it works for reading/clearing DTCs. However I think that's mandated to be a standard command by law. The service lights and extended service tests are not -- so Ducati is charging people for it. What other reason is there to completely change the commands every model year?

When I tell people the straight truth and they react by calling it FUD I take slight offense. As far as I know I'm the only person being completely honest and open about this. There's a lot of kleptomania in the Ducati ECU community compared to the car guys, and honestly, I'm starting to see why.

Is there any other easy way, I mean did Ducati ever imagine that maybe some folks like to change their own oil and do their own maintenance. My Scrambler is stuck behind a friend's house and I can't move it. I'm calling the dealer tomorrow. My closest dealer is 100 miles away in another state. What if this would have happened in the grocery store parking lot? The bike would be stuck there all night. They should have designed a 10 mile reset or something to allow folks to get home. Additionally I did not have any warning light or indicator.
