Just throwing it out there,
does any one know if the seat height is adjusted by some type of accessory or a whole new seat,

On Ducati web site, all it states is that the seat is -
( 790 mm (31.1 in) - low seat 770 mm (30.3 in) available as accessory )

I'm sure 790mm would be fine, but i have a short inside legs 29in, so i would like to keep all options openhttp://www.ducatiscramblerforum.com/forum/images/DucatiScramblerForum_2014/smilies/tango_face_glasses.png

When I demo'd the Monster 1200s, the seat had an adjustable block underneath that raised and lowered the seat by about an inch. I'm short as well and rode the 1200s with the normal/high seat setting and had zero problems and that bike is definitely taller, heavier, and wider. FWIW my Monster 796 is apparently a little taller than the Scrambler and wider from what I've read, and at 5'5" I have no issue with the height on that bike. My guess is the Scrambler will have an internal adjustment like the 1200s which should be very easy to move up and down.

Thanks for the input

There is no adjustment to the seat. They do offer a lower seat. The height is ok for me, I am 5'-7". My concern will be if it is comfy. Can really tell by just sitting on it. Have to take it out and ride it. Like everyone in the US I am still waiting to find out.

For the money, an aftermarket seat or having someone rework the stock seat will probably be the best options.

There's definitely no adjustment in the stock seat, but a low seat is available. From the prices I've seen it's also somewhat cheaper than the seats for the other variants of the Scrambler.

The stock seat is very firm, so needs a bit of breaking in, but then should be comfortable. It is nice and narrow at the front, so it does aid in getting plenty of foot to the floor for vertically challenged riders. I'm 5'6" and wouldn't even contemplate getting the lower seat, as the stock one gives me both feet flat with slightly bent knees. It doesn't need to be lower and would only give less leg room when riding for me.

The lower seat is available as an extra, in the UK it's about £159, I have ordered one. I asked if I could have it instead of the stock seat but no I have to buy it! A cheaper way would be to have the stock seat sculpted out if you can fine someone who does a good job. I have a 28.25" inseam and do need the lower option.

Does anybody know if they offer the low seat with different covers?
At 5.2, i really need the low seat and seat matches my icon but if i had bought any of the other versions then ducati would be forcing me to get a different seat. The classic version loses a lot if you take that leather looking seat away!

So now i am actually planing on getting the classic seat for my icon, but i am not sure if i should get the low seat and change the cover or get the classic and shave it.

I think the low seat's pan might be a bit different, but not sure really.

I would have thought if they are offering a low alternative then they should offer it in all the styles - but maybe not, have you asked your dealer? If they don't then it shouldn't a problem to get the seat you like sculpted, and it will be cheaper!
