Someone here did last month. He posted about it.

The Dragon is simply incredible. One of those things that you have to see to believe. The entire area is beautiful with incredible roads in every direction. I'm planning a trip through it on the way to my mom's house in NC later this fall.

Fun, everyone should do at least once. Expect on-coming traffic crossing the lines. But at least, semis are now banned.

It is a motorcycle tourist trap. If your going find a local or do some research. There is a lot of nice 'less' congested' riding in the area.

Raised less an hour away. Unfortunately, before my motorcycle days.

No scramblers on the Tree of Shame ...

I'm planning on doing it later this month with a member of the other Scrambler forum. Would you like to meet us in Appalachia sometime during the week of June 21?
We're talking about going too. Been there a few times, on both the Honda Interceptor and the Goldwing. Really want to do it on the scrambler. Where in upstate NY are you fastwoman?

I'm 40+ and I'm still not telling mom I have a motorcycle :D . So if I go back to ride the dragon, I'll have to sneak in and back out. Side note: I-81 is such a boring speed trap.

I had a constructive thought this morning. Take them as they come, it hurts way too much. ;)

When I was down in TN last May, I visited the local Ducati Dealership. I meet Jason Matthews, Ducati Specialist, and just briefly and gave him a club card. He mentioned that one of the staff had bought a scrambler and been over to the Dragon.

You might want to contact him and say some scramblerista are heading that way. They may join you or give you ideas for other routes while you are there.
