I have just purchased a Red Icon awaiting delivery hopefully in the next couple of days. Pre ordered the Evotech crash protectors. Apart from that at the moment not looking at any other changes. Am based in Mumbai India so parts can be a little difficult and expensive to procure.
We are right in the middle of monsoons so rain is heavy with a lot of water logging issues in the city. Any advice from fellas who have experienced the Scrambler in rain especially in water logged scenarios, on road or off road.

I expect it will be ok. Don't worry about the exhaust pipe being too low and being in water - it will cope. The front cylinder spark plug is a little low and will eventually flood and short out stopping the bike - that's my only concern.

Yup I guess will be leaving her at home on really rainy days when chances of water logging are high. The problem is monsoons here last 3-4 months and they have only just started. Gonna ride her all I can on sunny days and am praying against hope for those.

Hey @azad, welcome & congratulations! I have a Red Icon too, based in Delhi. It rained the day I took delivery - rode back 50 kms through a passing thunderstorm - light drizzle with heavy winds.

Had another Mumbai style rain ride last Sunday morning - was completely drenched and soaked to the core. No water logged areas encountered though - only minor puddles and had a lot of fun creating high speed water fountains out of them.
>:D

IIRC @alepplew has a lot of experience riding the Icon in rains. Maybe he can pitch in with his experience.

One critical accessory you will need for sure is the Extenda Fenda. Stock fender throws back slush, water & gunk onto engine parts.

It seems like the stuff under the seat is not safe from water when it's raining. The rear tire is able to splash mud and water up into the storage tray at the very least. I'm going to see if there's a way to put tape under the rear fender to stop it from happening. It's almost like the break in the two plastic pieces allows for this, but I'm not sure yet since I haven't taken a closer look. I just know that there's mud in my little under-seat tray right now.

check with Zulfi of Bachchoo Motors - he might be able to source it for you locally in Mumbai. I ordered mine from eBay UK since I had a lot of waiting time & itchy fingers between booking & delivery of my bike. :)

Wonder if Gorilla tape would work? Once you've had a look at it please let us know what you find as far as the fender arrangement. I don't like gunk up under my seat, either. Thanks.

One of the most venerable parts on my jeep is the air intake, you do not want to get water in there and into your cylinders. I am not sure where the intake is on the scrambler or if it's even an issue but I thought Id bring it up.
