Everyone ends up loving different gloves because we all have shorter or longer, thinner or fatter fingers. I'm in a set of Fox Racing something-or-others for warm weather and a set of 15 year old leather and kevlar guantlet gloves from Schoeller for colder weather. I run into the problem of guantlet gloves fighting my jackets, so it ends up dictating my complete package of gear based on either the gloves or jacket.

I went through a glove buying binge in 2012 and returned six pair of gloves because none of them fit me. I had some Alpinestars SMX 2 gloves I loved, but lost one of them which made me sad.

thx. never heard of this brand. will check out
Outdoor Research is a Seattle based outdoor gear manufacturer. Most of their stuff is bombproof. These are from their Tactical line. Like I said these are operator gloves, for those on deployment. Not a motorcycle specific glove, but still pretty burly for a minimalist glove.

The Scrambler gloves are very light and comfortable but as has been said nothing in the way of protection. The black and tan ones (I think there is black and green as well) I almost got as a summer pair but had just bought a nice thin leather pair for about the same money. Don't think the two tone gloves are leather?

I tried the black leather ones too which again are a lovely fit but no protection. Expensive too at around £80.

Nice if you are okay with risking it!
