They told me that "the bike in question will be studied by our R&D department in the next month". Wont it take a lot longer than a month to release the product? I mean, having to go through r&d, then testing, then making the actual product and all that stuff. I really want it, but it seems it will take a while.

Aren't most of their items generic anyways? That would mean they'll just be test fitting the things they have to confirm which do and don't fit. That'll go pretty quickly.
It seems they are going to make 3 plate holders: standard like the icon, outside (you can see it on the diavel) and classic on the rear light.

Hopefully some aluminum parts like on the bmw ninet...

Can't wait to see the products

Rizoma parts are purely cosmetic. They don't have performance parts or anything. I think that their products can be brought to market fairly quickly because they just have to make sure that they fit properly.
depends on how you value/quantify performance. True they don't make more expensive hot holes or injectable horse blood that adds a push to pass narrative to your country mile...BUT... comfort or ergonomics are just as much a part of 'performance' as horsepower and torque. If you can't ride the bike comfortably you can't really go fast (ask Cal Crutchlow, Marco Melandri or Valentino Rossi about their time on the GPXX), its a sport all about confidence and if you're not confident, well you're not confident...

If that confidence comes from the new ergonomics afforded by rizoma adjustable rear sets who are we to write that off as not a performance upgrade?

Mirrors , flashers , handle bar caps , gas caps , liscence plate supports , cleaning kits, grips... they are all more aesthetic then performance to me.

True maybe it changes a bite the ergonomic and makes you feel more confident on the bike ... but after all I think people are buying rizoma parts for there quality and appearance more then anything else

ah but again we come to measurement. If there are observed weight savings between parts then you've just upped your 'performance'. Quality is a type of performance, Quality will 'perform' better then less quality...

You could probably even qualify a bunny sticker a a performance mod if it kicks you in the ass to drag a knee ;)
