FWIW: I don't find the throttle to be the slightest bit abrupt and honestly wouldn't want to change it. Probably varies from bike-to-bike though.

Ducati isn't well known for this type of post-sales service but the Scrambler is a new brand after all. Anyone who is having this issue should phone it into Ducati (just got a package in the mail today as a new owner and it has a number to call). Also, there is an ownership survey that you can take and would make sense to tell them about it there.

Perhaps if enough people complain...

Mine was pretty twitchy when I got it and for the first 600 miles I kept hoping it would mellow out with the break in. Put the Termi on and that settled things a bit with the new map but out of the blue today my mileage went from the 112-115 I have been getting per tank to 125 and the throttle was perfect. Im at 850 miles now and I wouldn't change a thing at this point.

There are two distinct issues people are complaining about when talking about the fuel map:

1. Snatchy/aggressive throttle. Pretty much every owner says it's fine after a while. I personally find it not snatchy at all after I got used to it. I don't even think about it anymore. I'm able to launch the bike very smoothly.

2. Uneven fueling when going at low and steady speeds. You get rocking motions because of on/off fueling when going under 50km/h in first or second and try to keep a steady pace. This problem still persisted for me even after 2500km. This is what I think needs a new map and what Ducati is probably/hopefully working on to fix. It's very annoying and the only way to make it go away is by pulling in the clutch a bit which is not good for its lifetime.

I have the race Termignoni with a new map to upload to the bike.

1. Standard exhaust with standard map - not up to the standard of the GSXRs I've ridden for years.
2. Termi on, still with dB killer in and standard map. Big improvement in sound and fueling.
3. Termi on, dB killer out, standard map. The noise is from Satan's bowls>:D>:D>:D, fueling a little less good than 2.

Waiting for it to get 1st service when new map will be uploaded to bike:D

I initially found the throttle to be somewhat twitchy but have gotten used to it. As for fuel mapping I personally am going to wait for the Power UP set up to be made available from those attentive Aussie folks as it will include a new intake, exhaust and fuel map so I'm told. If everything said so far is accurate I am wanting to experience my Scrambler with 25% more torque. Not that it needs it but then again I really did not need to have yet another motorcycle either. >:D

I have an Icon and I do find the throttle a bit 'twitchy', but after a couple hundred miles it's not as bad (not sure if the bikes smoothed out or I've just gotten used to it). I would also imagine that the Full Throttle models with the Termi pipe would probably be better from the get go. If Ducati would offer a reflash (like Yamaha did with the FZ09) I'd be very interested...

Having ridden my Scrambler now for a few hundred miles, I agree with the comments of others that the fueling is fine the way it is. No more touchy than my Yamaha FJR1300 on sport mode -- just takes a bit of getting used to.

This is the best $10 part you can add to your throttle. Your outer palm does most of the work, but you still have fingers where they need to be. Fatigue and cramping are nullified and the throttle response is more manageable.
