This was from my previous bike but it fit the scrambler.

I just pieced together the parts needed, I believe this is the mount. It replaces one of the stem bolts.

RAM Motorcycle Handlebar Clamp Base with M8 Screws

Smallest extension size and a X phone holder mount for the Galaxy S5.

Here is a bad photo of how it mounts.

I thought about this from the first time I saw the meter placed on the right side - might be a good idea to put my phone on the left side. But other than it look cool, I still wonder what function of the phone I would use. Can you share what function of the phone you use most?

It would be best if we can use it at least as a charger dock :)

I have my music on the phone's microSD and a bluetooth Sena so I stream music, occasionally take calls(rarely!), and use a phone navigation app too.

On my old bike, the music was nice on the long roads to Niagara Falls thats for sure!

Do you guys think we can use a longer USB cable and turn the RAM mount to a charger dock? We can listen to music, take phone calls over bluetooth and use gps map without concern about battery drain.

At least one issue I can think of is how to make sure water will not come in at both ends of the cable.

On my previous bike I hardwired a usb cable into the headlight wire, which only comes on with key in on position. Then I ran to my phone.

This looks to be an excellent place to mount a GPS for long rides or off road! In the pictures I though the offset speedo would annoy me, but I find that I actually like it quite a bit. Not sure why but I do!

That looks like the way to go. Maybe a 4ft red USB cable would look best.

My concern would be the cable length from seat to the phone flapping around against the tank. Won't do any harm but would be annoying as ****.

I did the same, but ran the cable up the neck and along the clutch cable up the bars, strapping it down to the clutch cabling. I have it just long enough to attach to my phone, then when not in use tuck it under the clutch cable. It sticks out only about ~2".
