To add a marker, hover you mouse over additions in the top menu and select "Add Marker - Detailed" from the drop-down. In the box enter your forum username and select your location from the map. Don't bother entering any other stuff.
Under the "Details" tab enter the model of your bike and the name of the supplying dealer.
Don't enter anything else.

This site is completely open so anyone with the link can add to it, but they can also delete and edit entries. So please be careful."

Customizable Icons

Customize marker icons with your own images

Just wondering if we should try to get custom icons down the track? Could be actual images of the bikes and the delivered vs ordered differentistors could be just a little hour glass or small clock icon near it? I'm happy to help with the little icons.

Moderated Additions

Crowd Source marker additions to restricted marker groups

It seems like at the moment anyone can edit anyone else's marker, we probably need to investigate how to moderate this to prevent some bored kid Jim on it and mess it all up. There seems to be an "Approve a pending" button there where you as moderator could approve any additions and changes but still have each user do the bulk of the data entry.

Growth

I'm guessing you started us on the free version, which is limited to 100 members - will we be able to grow onto the next brackets after this, ie requiring funding? Will the forum sponsors help fund that?

- Add searchable custom fields for map entries

Does this mean we could have our own fields without unnecessary fields and no free texting fields like the details one? This could help for reports and other cool stats...

I didn't set this up, this was all done by Derek, all I did was copy Derek's instructions and put it into a new thread and made it a sticky.

Completely agree with your points above but Zeemaps is new to me and I'm learning as I go. I think the most important issue is to see how it can be moderated. I'll investigate further.

Thanks Jerry. This will make the markers secure from accidental or deliberate erasure but the downside may be that listers have to contact me on the forum or by PM if they want to change the colour or the details.
I'll see how it works out.
