Do you carry one? Which is better? How do you inflate a tire when you're out on the road?

I'm asking because I'm new to this. So far, I've only ever used a small 110 cc bike to crawl around the city. Flats are no problem as there are always a repair shop just a push away. But I plan to take my Icon Red on longer jaunts in the country and I'd like to be prepared.

I've got a Slime compressor that I carry on my bikes with tubed tyres and it is pretty good. For tubeless tyres I bought a cheap aldi set with compressed cannisters etc, this included tyre levers and tube patches so in the bag wouldn't fit in small compartments. I ended up seperating the bits and just putting the tubeless repair parts in a smaller bag under the seat. I reckon if you have a look around the markets there you could find a car kit that would do the same if you pack it smaller.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll just have to go look around at what is available in my neck of the woods. As with fire extinguishers, it's something we all hope we never have to use but it's an essential bit of kit.

Slime has a sealant specially made for tubed tires. you are supposed to deflate your tube and pump in one entire bottle of this product and inflate your tube back. if your wheel ever gets punctured, the special compound automatically seals it. There is even a bicycle version available.

secondly, if you ride in an area where punctures are frequent, try looking for a dual chamber tube made by Honda motorcycles called Tuff Up. It is far more puncture resistant than normal tubes. the only catch is that Honda makes it in limited sizes for its own bike models so it requires a bit of mix & match.

Timmy if you mean these type of tubeless tyre kits, then yes, they should work for Icon and FT models. But for Enduro or Classic tubed tyres, I think Slime type of a product will be the only reliable solution.

I got slime kit with small compressor, but the sealant I usually leave it at home, because to treat the rear wheel (180/55/17) you will need abt 350 cc of sealant... i.e. more than the kit's bottle.

so I've a classic repair small foam bottle (underpressure) and will than adjust pressure by the small compresser.

furthermore slime has two lines of sealant, one for tubed and one for tubeless tyre
