Hi All,

I'm trying to get an idea of what people are paying for prep, doc and freight in Southern CA on Scramblers. I'm seeing total fees range from $1375 to $1775. Does that jive with those of you that have made a purchase in the area?

Thanks!

Do these fees come from every dealership including official ducati dealerships? I live in Michigan and when i went to speak to the dealer at ducati i was told the price of the bike with the addons i wanted and how much my monthly payment would be. After the dealer told me the price he said the words "This will be your final cost with no other charges or hidden fees, this number is what you're going to pay". I really hope when i go to do the paper work he doesn't tell me i have to pay these extra fees because i wont be okay with that.

All dealers can charge extra fees, including those for freight and prep, but not all dealers do. If they do charge fees, they're usually negotiable. It sounds like all fees were included in your final price but you'd really have to verify with your dealer that that's the case.

Thats unlikely, the price he showed me was simply the cost of the bike with the exhaust. I'll find out soon enough.

Went to the dealer yesterday as I am hoping to get my FT this week (in the San Francisco Bay area), and their freight and set up charges were $795 and $595, I believe.....I hate that auto and moto dealers are doing this now, because honestly, how are they supposed to sell a vehicle if it does not have fluids in it and didn't get shipped there as a custom order? Isn't that just the costs of running a business?
