I'm very interested by the wrap thing. I am considering a silver grey with balck tank panels or a darker matte grey looking a bit like yours with the original silver panels. A brown leather seat like the classic but more comfortable would compliment the rest well IMHO.

Anyway, any info on the price of wrapping? Is that a DIY or was it done by a pro?

Thanks for the feedback!

You can leave the badges on, just spray over the whole thing and take the dip off where you dont want it. Comes off pretty easy once you rub it.
Wrapping isn't expensive at all, paint comes in cans which aren't that expensive. ( dont know how much it costs in other countries )
I plasti dipped the wheels of my old sr500 about a year ago and it still holds. Its just important to do a lot of layers and dont spray too much at one time. I think its easy to apply, as long as you clean your tank before you apply it, give it time to dry a little between the layers and spray from a good distance ( So there's no drops on the paint ), there's a few tutorials on youtube.

Yes unfortunately fuel does attack the color. This is probably THE negative point of the whole plastidip thing.
Something i never tried is applying a clear coat of normal paint over the plastidip (since the layers are plasti dip it could work and still peel off ?)
Maybe its a stupid idea too haha I don't know. So if you dip your tank, you gotta be careful or you'll ruin your work.
