Are the fenders on the Icon plastic? I'm thinking they are but just want a confirmation.

That's what I've read, and it's not surprising (or disappointing). While there are some, there aren't many modern bikes with metal fenders, especially in this price range.

At this price I think that is expected and I also think that Ducati wants people to buy extra parts to customize so they start you off with only the basics.

Yea, I like the short rear fender in the back, but I just have this thing about retro styled bikes with plastic fenders/plastic parts...metal just has something that plastic will never have. I will probably get the aluminum fenders if I don't already order the Classic.

i'm also the same way when it comes to retro/classic bikes. i feel that saying metal keeps it more true to it's retro roots. rather have plastic for new bikes, sporty bikes.
