Having ridden 700 km on a 3d freeway tour the humming of the tire knobs especially when leaning slightly becomes very obvious. It is really loud at 80 km/h and can be felt in the handlebar. One time I was looking for a plane above me!:) Sounds like some resonance from the tank or exhaust or frame is amplifying it.
Above and below that speed it is less. I think the reason are " flattened" profile tires from the freeway rides and in curves I use the edgy knobs. I noticed this before but now its louder ànd clearly curve/tilt related. Almost like running knobbies on an old XT.
Waiting for street tires to come when these are down.
Anybody else noticed this?

wow! sounds loud. anything with knobs will make sound. if you can stand too, wear some earplugs. that is how I was able to tolerate the DREADFULK AND AWEFUL tires called Heidenau I put on my Tiger 800xc. I had 2 other buddies ride it and complained that they sucked for loudness and grip as well. Even the guy putting them on in his little shop said he took it out around block and they were friggen obnoxious! so, I got the earplugs and helped a bit! try it. 0:)
