Hi guys !

I'm waiting for my full throttle to arrive. I'm on the east part of canada. The first batch of icons are late and my dealer called me today to tell me that my FT will probably be late too. I was suppose to get it around june 1st .. now It could be more like june 15. I dont think ill be able to wait that long.

I would be able to get a yellow Icon 1 month before , maximum 15 of may. My dealer still has one available in the first batch.

So i'm thinking now to buy the Icon ( 1500$ less ) , change the handle bar , put an aftermarket slipon and also plasti dip or paint all the yellow cause the main point why I was getting the full throttle is the color.

Here's my question. Did someone remove is tank already ? How easy it is ? the front and back fenders should be really easy to remove and put back but what about the tank ? Any other advice about painting the scrambler ?

Thanks a lot !

I've been having the same thoughts. I'm in line, not only the first local urban Enduro, but the third Scrambler of any kind. They've delivered the first, and they could get 2 more Icons very soon. They still have no idea when my UE will arrive, and I haven't owned a bike since I wrecked my R1200GS on June 28. I'm ready for some riding!!!!

I really hate that yellow, and don't like the red much more...like they're part of a plastic playground set.

The tank is fairly straight forward to remove, I've lifted mine, not completely removed but it appears easy enough.

Rear guard is very easy, I removed it to fit the tail tidy and the front looks easy enough.

I was faced with the same decision, originally ordered a Classic but it was delayed and an Icon was available, in Aus the Icon is $2,000 cheaper, I bought it and am very happy. I think I'll still fit the classic guards, they're on order, and I'll be happy.

It really comes down to what you'll be happy with, the waiting is terrible but forgotten soon after you get the bike.

If you wanted the Full Throttle wait. Tbh I wasn't sure whether Icon or FT. I looked at the sums and the wait times and the waiting times would have been 2 more plus months. So I am working on a hybrid yellow FT
The cost differences are £1000 for me.
My Icon £7000
Termi exhaust. £745 That's a cheaper one from Germany and the race one
Black side panels £160
FT Bars £80 ( with clamp set not sure as yet )
Are cables shorter and brake line ?
FT decals £40-45
FT seat £213
So although I will have extra parts if I needed to sell the damage is around £1200 more excluding any paint which I wasn't considering and whether I fancied the minimalist mudguards so add another £100 or so.

The bonus of the FT is its cool and has the twin pipe Legal exhaust too.
