Has anyone tried some off-road test with the Scrambler? How do you think?

Last weekend I did some. My conclusion is it should be ok for dirt road as long as it's not too wet.

For example, it should be ok with the road conditions in the first two photos below. However, in the last two photos, when the bare earth surface is wet and the earth stuck to the tire, then it would be the limit.

Back in the day we would strip everything off the bike and make it a dirt bike. This also included lacing up 21" front tires, changing out the shocks, forks, etc.

Ducati did a good job with the retro thing but you can make it a good 1970's dirt bike but not a 2015 dirt bike.

Did a one day trip in our 'Lueneburg Heath' area in a mixed group from KTM EXC/Freeride, Kawasaki KLX, Honda Africa Twin and Triumph Tiger. Sunny but wet track with sand, mud, grass. With original Pirellis very slippery (did a highsider).

Enjoyed it, but will appreciate TKC-80 tires, adjustable suspension.

The ground clearance I will have to live with.

btw: just replaced my termi with a qd. Explanation will follow...

I saw more than couple of "tip-overs" - but nothing that I would call a high-side!

Well done... :)
