OEM vs Evotech belly pan

Whip me if this has been asked before, but can anyone describe the difference in how the OEM belly pan mounts to the bike vs how the Evotech aluminum plate mounts to the bike?

I prefer the looks of the Evotech, but from what it looks like the way it mounts to the bike is questionable. Such that if you do bash it on a lot it might break something important and aluminum at the place it mounts to the engine.

Am I right, or is it set up in a smart manner?

Also, does the OEM belly pan mount in a way that might damage the engine if you do hit it?

Also very interested...
Looked at both in detail and neither will really protect the bike from anything other than pebbles, dirt and perhaps small branches.

I have the Evotech piece and it is very solid compared to the OEM aluminum one. I think it comes down to aesthetics more than function.

Thanks @DJKham, you've helped me settle one question which had been bugging me for a while.

My question about the Evotech is more about if it borrows bolts on the engine like an exhaust stud? If so I worry about hitting a rock or tree with it mounted because it could snap the stud out of the engine case?

I've installed it and the 2 mounting points are 1) the exhaust port (piggy backs after the header on the lower cylinder) and 2) underneath the motor on the side of the engine casing.

Is it solid? Yes. Would I want to bottom out on a boulder/curb with it? Definitely not.

I maintain that it's the best option out there for protection IMO but still doesn't turn our bikes into mountain goats.

I decided to get the evotech, but unfortunately all I have is Am Ex and I haven't figured out how to use that on their site during the ordering process. can anyone let me know if they see the Am Ex prompt? I emailed them and they accept it, they say, but upon email #2 , to see how to apply Am Ex...no response.
Here are the mounts for the OEM:

What I like is that the OEM belly pan "floats" on rubber shock bushings.
