Anybody have any experience or comments on this helmet? Thanks.

I just tried one on at Americade yesterday because I currently have an N43 that I like, but it's had a lot of use. By comparison, the N44 has a huge eye port, removable liner, and there's more space between my face and the shield. The sunscreen mechanism works a little better too, and it still feels pretty light. I didn't buy it because the colors were all boring. But then I found one on eBay from a dealer in Italy that comes in matte olive drab, and I've ordered it. Couldn't tell about air flow of course, but both intake and exhaust vents are much larger than the N43.

Do they produce the green outside of the U.S.? I love that color but can't find one listed on their website or for sale. I will check eBay. If it was produced for other parts of the world would it still have dot sticker?

Cristovao, I'm considering one of these too. Does it flow a lot of cooling air through the top?
And if you ride without the chin piece does that affect the noise level much?
Considering I can compare when I ride with my multistrada.... the helmet per se is not very noisy.

When you disassemble it to full open face there are a few covers to place on the "holes"

It's a very fresh helmet... at least here in Portugal with 29ºC and above it still works pretty fresh :D

Good question, I guess. I read in an online review that there's US spec and European spec lines, and they are constructed differently. I won't know about the DOT sticker on the one I ordered from Italy until it arrives, but I don't really care which tests it passed as long as it passed one. FWIW I've seen replica DOT stickers for sale.;)

Well... I received it from Revzilla, tried it on, inspected the quality and called for a return label. Not necessarily anything wrong with it, just not for me. The search continues....

I saw one at the weekend. I thought it was really good quality and had loads of good features so ordered a Tech Yellow. When it turns up I'm keen to try the really long deep visor without the chinbar and see how it performs.
It fitted me really well but so do Arai Shoei and Shark so i must have a really neutral head as other folk find some makes uncomfortable.
I'll share my views when i get a thousand kms in it.

I've put about 1500 kms on it now and I think it's great.
The crown isn't as plush as an Arai or Shoei but it is still very comfortable.
Airflow through the top is very good, much better than my Arai and still quieter.
But the best bit is the massive view! The faceshield is enormous. I had intended to use the helmet without the chinbar from time to time, but its so low you hardly notice it. Its like the freedom feel of an open face but with more safety. And if you do go without the chinbar the depth of the faceshield still protects your mouth and even chin from bugs. And they can be huge here in Andalucia. A shark Evoline or any other modular helmet wouldn't do that.
The peripheral view is great too.
All in all a cool quiet helmet to use, of decent quality and good value for money to boot.

I've heard that modular helmets aren't the best as the rotating part can easily flip up when you fall, leaving your chin unprotected. The Nolan N44 looks great but is there any truth to the flipping issue?
The Nolan N44 chinbar does not flip like say a shark evoline or LS2. Instead the chinbar clips on or off with steel attachments. It doesn't go up with the visor.
I think a proper full face is safer but this is a good compromise.
