It has 2 ways to communicate fuel level to us. One way is a range readout on the LCD display that shows how many miles are left. The other way is a gas light comes on when you hit reserve.Does anyone have a better understading of the fuel readout on the scrambler?
hey have you noticed the SMS icon!!!It has 2 ways to communicate fuel level to us. One way is a range readout on the LCD display that shows how many miles are left. The other way is a gas light comes on when you hit reserve.
I would prefer a good old fashioned E---F gauge, but the range will work just fine for me. Here is the LCD display:

We will learn all the stuff it does once people get their hands on them.
And the phone icon above it.hey have you noticed the SMS icon!!!
You are correct, they are quite different. I hadn't actually studied the details. I was google image searching for a good exact photo that showed the range numbers, but couldn't fine one, which is why I used the pre-release gauge photo above that's been widely circulated. This is the real gauge and it is very different than that in the image.
hey have you noticed the SMS icon!!!
I did some contrast fiddling on the image above, and those icons are still there. Who knows if that's actual functionality or reserved for future use though. And the phone icon above it.
Do you think that these functions is "On" when the phone is connected with the usb port under the seat?I did some contrast fiddling on the image above, and those icons are still there. Who knows if that's actual functionality or reserved for future use though.
Also, the phone icon with the check mark that's in the upper right of the graphic shows up under the SMS icon on the real one.

That, my friend, is the big question. I would guess that IF it's actually a function on the Scrambler, I would wager it was bluetooth since it's very cheap and easy to implement, and it's ubiquitous. I don't even know if SMS and call managing over USB are a thing?Do you think that these functions is "On" when the phone is connected with the usb port under the seat?
Or... these functions are for the future bike that have in common the same gauge?

Well done super snoop, exciting stuff and fantastic if all available but as you say it might be for future but thats not to say it cannot be retro added for the early purchasers ie simple software upgrade.I did some contrast fiddling on the image above, and those icons are still there. Who knows if that's actual functionality or reserved for future use though.
Also, the phone icon with the check mark that's in the upper right of the graphic shows up under the SMS icon on the real one.

There is no real time fuel gauge. Just a low fuel indicator. So returning to the initial quote there is not a fuel indicator?
No problem. FYI, I've gotten 35 miles on an empty fuel light before finding a gas stop. It comes on reasonably early. Still, on that particular trip I decided to carry an extra 1.5 gallons strapped on.Thanks KJS, I'm disapointed!
