Hi guys,
I have a deposit down on a red Icon that should be getting into Ducati Westlake near LA this week. This will be my first dealer purchase ever so I have a few questions that maybe some of you veterans can answer. I should probably start a new thread for each of these but I'm going to jam them all in here:

-I've been shopping around for loans before I go into to actually buy the bike so I can compare it to the dealer financing but I haven't actually found many places that offer moto loans. I'm not a member of a credit union and neither of the big banks I do business with (Chase, BOA) offer moto loans. Where have you had success finding financing other than the dealership?

-Has anyone been able to negotiate much lower than the sticker price? I know with brand new bikes that are in high demand that people ordered specifically there's probably not a lot of reasons the dealer would go below that price. I'm really hoping the dealers in LA don't charge a premium above the sticker price since they are in such high demand. Just for reference, the BMW i9's out here are selling for $100,000 over sticker. Insane.

If you have any other general tips for when I go to negotiate for and pick up the bike I'd love to know, thanks!

Hi, sounds exciting! :D I'm from the UK so can't answer your questions, but over here I've found that new bikes tend to be at a certain price and dealers aren't usually negotiable - but they don't charge more either. Sometimes you can get 'extras' in the deal- I bought my Moto Guzzi from new and managed to find a dealer who was offering the bike at a £500 discount so I had to travel much further for it, but it was worth it.

With the Scrambler, it's a set price here for the bike but some dealers appear to be offering extras - for instance I am getting a free first service where others have had to pay.

Good luck and keep us posted :)

I'm in Birmingham, Alabama and the dealer where I've put a deposit down was able to procure 2.5% interest, and the finance manager said it was through a credit union they use. If that helps any, I believe they use multiple lenders, but I have a good credit score which I'm sure helped. It could be worth it to open a savings account at a credit union just to get their rates if they are good.

Anywhere like a credit union will be happy to take you on as a customer. I need to stop into the local ones because their loan rates are usually better than the bigger banks. The Dealer told me 3.9% interest rate on their loans, so I'm going to shop around a bit to see if I can do better. I plan on paying for most of it up front though because I've been saving my pennies for it for about a year now.

hi, I got a dealer to get 3.9% of the loan amount is greater than 5000. They told me they use MB Financial which Iv'e only heard is Chase but do not know for sure.
If you get stuck, call and ask for Paul at GP motorsports in san diego. One really nice guy. This is my third bike form him and my dad got an Aprilia scooter from him too. Tell him Pete who has deposit on a classic mentioned him to you. If you want to...:)
