Greetings from Arizona... I recently decided, at age 66, to purchase my first motorcycle. I sat on a multitude of bikes and as soon as I mounted the 2023 Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard, I knew I had found what I was looking for. I'm not sure it's the perfect starter bike for most people but I love the weight, the ease of handling and, most of all, I felt very comfortable on it. I took the safety course and got my endorsement and have now been riding for about a month. I'm getting more and more confident with each ride and am looking forward to taking some longer excursions thru the AZ desert as soon as the weather warms up a bit (which it surely will). I've noted that there are lots of accessories to consider and I can already see that this is going to be an expensive journey but, thus far, I am only considering a rear luggage rack and a top storage box or bag to mount on it. Does anybody have any suggestions for storage on the bike. I see lots of options online. My local dealer has quoted $390 for the rack, $546 for the box, and $165 for labor. Seems very high to me.
