The thing that interests me the most about the marketing campaign is that the Scrambler itself looks nothing like the normal stuff Hipsters are drawn to. It looks more like a 1980s Honda Nighthawk to me than a rusty BMW airhead or a Honda CB450.

But they are right that this is the bike trust funds are made of. A bike to get you to that cool place you can use your camera to take photos of your girlfriend dressed up in native american head-dress. Also, before this, I thought hipsters were only something that existed in North America. I didn't realize Italy had them too.

Well to be honest, I'm not really sure what a hipster is, I just know what I like.

Now I've gone & done it, I've broken my personal motto,

"It's Better To Keep Quite & Be Thought A Fool Than To Open Your Mouth & Prove It"

Don't worry Abudz, I was reading the post above and thinking - actually I don't even know what a hipster is. Maybe it is a North American thing? (As well as a kind of briefs.)

its so funny Jerry. we have these guys all over here in the U.S. it seems like they try so hard to look different, like punk-rockers once did., that they end up all looking the same. What's next, New-Romantics Phase 2?

Present day hipsters are lumber jack meets new wave. But they mutate. I've defined them, personally, as social locusts. They spot something cool and fun and then swarm and feed on it until they've sucked the life out of it. Then they find something else and repeat the process. Just like a plague of locusts.

The past five or so years it's been artisan style ____fill in the blank____. Most people age out of it around 25 or 30 though and get stuck being defined as whatever thing they were last into.

Presently in this area of the USA we're suffering a man-bun craze. The former lumberjacks have mutated into samurais and wear their hair in a pathetic upright bun on the back of their head. This is promising. It means they're transitioning away from motorcycles because helmets can't possibly foster a good environment for a man-bun.
