My red Icon came this wednesday. I mounted a handlebar from moose Racing and now a couple Of parts is at the painter for powdercoat.

What do you think about haveing the mirrors upside down?

I think the stock mirrors look a little out of proportion in that location; I'd prefer shorter stems and possibly smaller mirror heads there, although locating the mirrors under the handlebar could be fine, I've seen café racers with a single mirror under the bar.

I am also planing to change the oem one for a narrower bar. I found a black rizoma which is 72cm wide and much lower. I think the stock one is around 80cm. Do you think the cables are too long for that? Yours look as wide as the original though.
Are you also painting the exhaust? I would like to see a picture of that when its done Nice work with that red icon we have similar tastes apperantly.

I'm also painting the side panels and handlebars in black.

But I ordered the Sports Termi you got to let the L engine breath

My handlebar is quite wide and High. it's called cr High. I think i'll get the termi single exhaust too... The cables are quite long, mabye i want to try a wide flat-track handlebar... Who knows. Painting the side panels, the ring around the headlight, the heat-shields for the exhausts.

İ ordered Renthal Fatbar tapered which is 80cm wide, but it is mcgrath bend so a very low profile.

I don't think the mirrors suit at all like that. I bought a set of bar end ones for £10 on ebay and really decent quality by the look for over or under bar. I bought another tank panel set too as I cannot paint the brushed alloy as I want to have mood panels and switch occasionally.

Congrats on getting your red icon, it was a hard choice for me to choose between that and yellow but yellow is what i will be going after, especially having seen it in person!

i also favor how the mirrors were originally mounted over how you changed it, but that's just me and what i would do.
