I bought the Icon largely based on it's great looks but it only took one ride to inspire me to make it into this custom retro racer. I fabricated everything here except for the Zard low mount which inspired me with it's speed hole design. I utilized the shape of the tank badges for the chain guard and eyelid. I added aluminum elements to compliment the Tank panels adding speed holes to tie it all together. I am a firm believer that race stripes make nearly any bike look better so on went a white stripe kit followed up with white elements into the tank badges, white painted shock spring and white faced number plate. I just finished the number plate which helps hide an ugly area and acts as a heat shield. Most of my designs are posted here but this is the cumulative effect and how my Icon sits now. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?

Do you like the full number plate or the smaller triangular cover plate I had posted earlier?

Not the number plate. Just the one that covers the opening. I didn't realize they were different.

Really a good job!! I like it!!
For the future i suggest the handlebar change, I mounted the FT one and for a race look it's better than the original
