Mugello in Thailand have a custom seat available for which I'd like to open a seperate thread seeing that the stock seat is a problem many owners would like to fix.

I actually don't know if it improves comfort or really anything else apart from the pictures below and the price.
It costs 9500 THB which is about $270 or 250 Eur.

I'll try to find out more about it in the coming days.

If anyone bought it, please post a review.

I think it looks fine, there are two options regarding the stitching of the Ducati Logo. I would prefer the look of the OEM logo but that's a minor thing.
It looks more padded but difficult to say from these pictures.

Been to the FB page, they've got Scrambler stuff in the works. This is THE seat, looks wise, for me. But crap, I don't even have a Scrambler yet, so what do I know? But I'm always thinking and planning, so if anybody learns more about this seat, please post back.

See if you can talk to @JurgenBKK;. I know he has one of these for a few weeks now. I am strongly considering this seat.
Couple of weeks ago I had my Icon seat redone by Mugello.
Not a flat one as shown in the pictures but more as a sofa cushon ;)
Asked them to make it about 3cm higher, 2cm wider at the front and on the way out I got the idea for the yellow pipe.
At 186cm and almost 100kg the OEM seat was to say it politly not very friendly to my behind. Today I had two one hour trips through Bangkok Traffic again and it felt still comfortable with the reworked seat where as the OEM seat would have left some pain.
Am I happy with the seat? Yes, so much so that I put the suspension modification on hold for the moment.
Would I recomend Mugello? Yes, but think about what you would like your seat to look like before hand. Right now I might have choosen a different lettering instead of the standard Ducati.
Basically I believe Mugello can do what ever you can think of.
Colour of the seat, stitching pattern, stitching colour, hight, lettering.
What was as well nice was that they gave me one of their seats while mine was redone. And that one was better as well than the OEM seat.
Maybe they might offer trade-ins as well?
As this is a Mugello thread, they might post some of their seat design.
Cheers
Juergen

Thanks for the info Juergen! Can you post more pics, maybe from the top and side.
Ideally a side to side comparison with the stock if you know some other Scrambler owner.

Did it change the ride/handling a lot? 3cm is quite a bit. Another member silverluxe had the Ducati comfort seat which is 2cm higher I think and didn't like the change in handling so much that he got rid of it again.

How much did they charge you?

Hi Eisfeld,
Not possible to have the comparrission.
Leaving Monday morning on a business trip again. Not enough time to look for a seat.
Handling is slightly different. Got a feeling I use the back brake less!?
Otherwise the comfort is well worth is. I am sitting better on the bike. As well for the knees it is better.
If the hight change is now 2.5 or 3 cm I can not say. Maybe the other picture will make it a bit clearer.
For a rework seat Mugello charges 6.500,-THB.
But as I said, you tell them what you like and they can do it.

Aha 6500 THB for a rework and I guess 9500 with a new pan? I'll have my girlfriend message them for details.

Thanks for the pics and the information Juergen, really appreciate it.

Juergen, I will be in BKK over the weekend, do you think they can customize my seat there and then? In case not, do they have seats readily available with them at the shop? is the material real leather or rexine? How many colors?Sorry for so many questions but would lie to reach there knowing these stuff.
I wrote to them over FB but not too fast in responding.
Thanks in advance.

As I understand from the other thread, they let another shop make their seats.

They might have some seats in the shop if you are not too picky? Generally take 7 days they say to have one made. At least that's what my friend told me when he ordered one for me last week. Also, they don't take online orders so you'd have to go to store to place an order, wait 7 days, go back and pick it up from store. Mugello certainly isn't making this easy for us :D
